A Homes and Gardens Competition was organised as part of Passage West/Monkstown Project 2006. In late August, Mr. Charlie Wilkins, Gardening Correspondent with the Irish Examiner, assessed all estates, houses and business premises in Passage West and Monkstown. Thanks to Mrs. Eileen Murphy who took considerable time to show him his way around.
The prizegiving for the Homes and Gardens Competition was held on Tuesday, 24 th October, at 8pm in the P.A.C.E. Centre, Passage West. Awards were presented under nine categories:

The Homes and Gardens Competition was a hugely successful aspect of Project 2006, helping to raise awareness of the huge contribution of a well-kept home and garden to the well-being of a neighbourhood. Congratulations to all who made the effort to brighten up their homes, gardens and locality.
