Passage west Garda Station

Garda StationGarda Síochána na hÉireann is Ireland’s national police force. The mission of An Garda Síochána is to protect life and property, to safeguard the liberties of the individual, to preserve public peace, to prevent and detect crime, to provide guidance for young people as they seek to become caring, law-abiding citizens and, in so doing, to provide a quality service to the public while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and efficiency.

The Passage West Garda Station is situated at Ferrypoint, just as one is coming into Glenbrook. Passage West Garda Station serves Passage West, Glenbrook and Monkstown.

The station is currently manned by Sergeant Leo Dwyer and four gardaí, Garda Trevor Maye, Garda Tim McSweeney, Garda Colm Flaherty and Garda Donal Barry.

The station is open from 10am – 1pm every, Monday – Saturday. Should a Garda be required outside of station opening hours, assistance will be sent directly from Togher Garda Station. Togher Garda Station is the District Headquarters and it is here that the Superintendent is based.

Garda Colm O’Flaherty is the Community Garda for Passage West and Monkstown. A Community Garda liaises with Residents Associations and other groups, assists in the setting up of the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and is available to talk to schools and voluntary groups on request.
